NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Godavari Fertilisers & Chemicals Limited is promoted by Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Asia's largest cooperative IFFCO, and is incorporated as the largest joint venture company. It's registered office is located at Hyderabad, the State Capital of Andhra Pradesh. The Directors of the company are the eminent senior officials from state Government, IFFCO and Financial institutions including the Industrial Development Bank of India. The Managing Director is the senior most IAS official from state Government and the Chairman is the Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh. GFCL has implemented ERP (SAP), which doesn't include HRMS. Hence the management decided to computerize HR process by developing a custom developed solution.

Description of Actual Services Provided by our staff

The Human Resource Management System (HRMS):

  • Provides Decision Support Systems in certain key areas E.g. Manpower Planning, Succession plans, Redeployment/ Job rotation, Career Planning, Compensation Revision, Formulation of employee development plans etc. Decision Support Systems will be used to make structured as well as unstructured decision. This shall be mainly used by the top and senior level of management for formulating long-term policies of the company and also for setting operational targets for the lower levels.
  • Provide the Management Information Systems for the P&A department E.g. Employee Profile, Manpower Statistics, Age/ Skill/ Qualification matrix, Employee Turnover, Utilization of perks (LTC, Company Leased Housing etc.), Facilities (Residential phone, Housing loan etc.), Employee Performance/ Appraisal analysis, Training program details, Stagnation Analysis. MIS will be mainly for use by the middle levels of management. The middle level of management will find it useful in implementing the goals and objectives, which are set by the top level of management.
  • Automate the Transaction Processing activities of P&A department e.g. Attendance recording, Issuance of Annual Increment letters, Promotion letters, Preparation of gradation/ seniority lists etc. This system involves automating the day-to-day activities of the department. This system is mainly for the frontline levels that are involved in day-to-day functioning.
  • Maintain Information on HR policies, Employment Conditions (Standing Orders, Service Rules) etc. Provide end-user friendly menus, forms, screens and reports to achieve the above
